Psychic Powers Social Club
In 2017, I decided to start an inclusive t-shirt company based on my love of horror, comics, 70’s design, goth culture, etc. I had a lot of fun illustrating and coming up with (hopefully) catchy ideas. It was a great way to switch creative gears while working full-time as a Senior Web Designer and the business did fairly well.
In 2020, the pandemic, the George Floyd protests, and a knee injury (with surgery) put me in a state where I didn’t feel very creative, and I certainly wasn’t feeling fun and wacky. I never wanted this project to feel like a chore, so I closed up my t-shirt shop and haven’t reopened it since.
Will I ever reopen the Psychic Powers Social Club? I am a big fan of things coming back from the dead, so maybe! My Role In This Project:
- Conceptualize ideas.
- Create illustrations using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Wacom Tablet, pencil, paper.
- Interface with various print companies and make any necessary changes to artwork or files to ensure proper printing.
- Manage all social media accounts and create graphics and content for Instagram and Facebook for posts and marketing collateral, sometimes including photography and editing.
- Build and manage Shopify website.
